Burmese Unicode-compatible font September 27, 2007

If you are like me, you have probably ventured onto some of the sites like this one and this one where bloggers are posting pictures and news from the events in Burma, almost around the clock, these last few days. And you have probably, like me, suddenly found the need for a Burmese font (unless you want to see a lot of question marks). So, as a public service announcement, here’s a link to the Padauk font from SIL International which works well for me.

Oh, and before somebody complains about “Burma” vs. “Myanmar” – I tend to agree with James Fallows on that point.
